Monika stands at the head of Orsino, but you will most often meet her in the corridor, restaurant or at the reception. She believes that true luxury does not begin with the number of stars, but with the guest feeling seen and welcomed. She takes every arrival as a new story to which she and her team can add a few beautiful chapters.
She was brought to Šumava by the desire to slow down and do things her way – honestly, personally and with respect for the place where she lives. She considers the familiar faces of guests who return year after year as the greatest appreciation of her work. Her goal is for everyone to take away from Orsino the feeling that they have their quiet corner by Lipno here.
Martin brings fresh ideas to Orsino inspired by European bistros and the fine dining scene. He likes to work with local ingredients, which he combines with lightness and playfulness. On the plate, he loves contrasts – crunchy and creamy, sour and sweet, simple and surprising.
His tasting evenings are a small ritual for guests: several courses, a glass of wine and a view of the Lipno surface slowly going to sleep.
Jiří is the heart of the traditional part of the kitchen. He grew up on sauces from his grandmother and still believes that the best cuisine is the one that warms you up. In Orsino, you will therefore find sirloin, dumplings and honest broths exactly as they should taste – just in a slightly lighter form.
He loves moments when guests just quietly nod their heads and smile after the first bite. At that moment he knows that they managed to transfer a piece of home to the shore of Lipno.
Behind every smile at the reception, behind every tidy room, and behind every dessert on the plate stands a specific person. Together they create the atmosphere that makes guests return.
